This is my second time coming to Core Truck Driving School, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The first time around, I was blown away by how professional, knowledgeable, and supportive the team was—and this time was no different. I came back to upgrade my licence because I had such a great experience the first time. The instructors are patient, experienced, and genuinely care about helping you succeed. Everything is run smoothly and professionally, and they make what could be a stressful process feel straightforward and even enjoyable. I chose CORE Driving School after doing some elaborate research on various other options. Turned out it was a good choice. I was doubtful about the training day, so Elda suggested that I book the day with a minimal deposit, which is not generally available with other organisations who book with the total amount.I landed at 0530 in the morning and started sharply at 0600 with Issiah briefing us on the general topics, including the pre-start checks. I started training with Bill on 15-CORE, and it was an excellent experience. I drove around with Bill for about 4.5 hours, including a break at a good cafe that Bill took me to.Frank assessed me, and I drove for an hour without hiccups.Positives: Excellent experience, reasonable price, long training time, and elaborate explanations of the details of the regulations.Suggesstions: I booked in for Automatic/Syncromesh and was not asked for an option. I thought I would get to train in both or would be asked about an option, which did not happen. I was expecting to drive a syncromesh truck as well. In the future, please ask the student to choose between automatic and syncromesh.I did not clarify, so I cannot hold that against them.Suggestions to future students: Much time is spent on the road, so if you bring your food along, don't leave it at the office but carry it while driving so that you can eat your lunch during the roadside break.

I highly recommend Core Driving School for anyone wishing to upgrade their licence to the truck classes. Everyone is friendly from booking with Elda throught to the final assessment. They have a good atmosphere for learning from Issac's early morning intro to Frank's external vehicle check. My Instructor Bill is very professional and I learn't alot from him. The final assessment by Ty was also very professional and I appreciated his calm approach. Well done all.

Got my HR RR license here, very good instructors. Worth the money and a great experience. Only feedback would be making the RR course 2 or 3 days, as going from never driving a truck before to feeling comfortable in one day is a lot.
Great place to learn to drive a truck. The staff are very helpful in teaching you the ropes and giving lots of advice as you drive around town with lots to different types of roads being tackled throughout the day!
Some of them really rude, and should not be there but it seems it is the place policy

Core helped me gain the knowledge I needed to pass my HC roadranger test. That morning I had never driven a roadranger before and by the afternoon I was operating the vehicle smoothly (for the most part) and safely. Thanks heaps to Chris, Ty and the rest of the team at Core!

Went and got my hc license from core driving school at Smithfield today the whole team was great especially my assessor Nathan and bill 100 percent recommended
Completed my HR course with Core. Could not recommend anyone else. No prior experience in truck driving. They taught me on the spot and passed at the end of the day.
Day was fantastic, easy to make the step up from HC to MC, all the staff were helpful and easy to talk to.
