I first went through Core Truck Driving School a couple of years ago to get my Heavy Combination (HC) licence, and returning recently to remove the Condition B restriction was an easy choice.I had Ty as my trainer and assessor, and honestly, you couldn't ask for someone more knowledgeable, patient, and straight-shooting. Taming the Road Ranger gearbox is no small feat, but Ty’s clear feedback and practical teaching style gave me the technique and confidence needed to pass the assessment without second-guessing myself.Huge thank you to Ty and the entire team at Core Truck Driving School for running such a professional operation. I'll definitely be seeing you again when it's time for the next upgrade!

I had no previous experience driving a MC, but after completing the training and assessment, I now feel confident and comfortable driving and safely reversing a B-double.A big thank you to the guys for the effort, patience and time they put into training me today. They did a great job explaining everything and making sure I understood what I was doing.Very happy with the training and would definitely recommend Core Truck Driving School to anyone looking to get their MC licence. 👍

Absolutely fantastic experience with Core Truck Driving School. I completed my training over two days, upgrading my license from HR Synchro to MC Unrestricted, and honestly, I couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough.A lot of training providers focus on teaching you the basics you need to pass the assessment. Isaak and his amazing team go far beyond that. They teach you the skills, knowledge and fundamentals to become a better, safer and more confident driver — things that genuinely go beyond what you’ll find in a handbook or assessment.Day 1 – HC Crash BoxGoing into the first day, I had little to no experience driving a crash box. Isaak took the time to teach me all the fundamentals and, on top of the required training, showed me how to hook up and unhook a dolly trailer, correctly use ropes and ratchets, and understand the importance of safety when securing and handling equipment.I’m sure some of my bad driving habits probably drove him up the wall — especially the famous “BOTH HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL!” 😂 — which I’m pretty sure I heard about 100 times! But his patience, consistency and firmness genuinely helped me become a better driver and ultimately helped me pass.Day 2 – MC UnrestrictedHaving the same trainer for both days was fantastic because Isaak already knew where I was at and what I needed to work on.The morning started with something that isn’t necessarily part of the final assessment but is incredibly valuable to know — reversing a B-Double. Working in an industry where this is required, it was something I was extremely grateful to learn. Who else would have taken the time to teach me that if it wasn’t for trainers like these?We then went out on the road and worked on the correct techniques for entering roundabouts, left- and right-hand turns, challenging roads and situations that really pushed me to become a safer and more capable heavy vehicle driver.I was also taught the correct procedures for uncoupling and protecting the equipment, along with so many little tips and pieces of knowledge that I know will stay with me throughout my career.Honestly, words don’t really do justice to how grateful I am to Isaak and the whole team at Core Truck Driving School. They didn’t just teach me how to pass a test — they taught me how to be a better, safer driver and how to look after myself, other road users and the equipment I’m responsible for.And just as importantly, they were genuinely great human beings. The knowledge, patience, humour and care they showed throughout the two days made the whole experience even better.If you’re looking at getting your HC, MC or upgrading your heavy vehicle license, I would 100% recommend Core Truck Driving School. You won’t just leave with a licence — you’ll leave with skills and knowledge that can make you a safer driver for years to come.Thank you so much, guys, for everything you taught me! Frank and Branko were very personable and easy to get along. Frank was a great teacher and had lots of tips for me to become a better driver. Branko was a very fair assessor and eagle eyed. Very grateful to the two of them for everything they had to teach me.

From the moment I started, the whole experience was professional, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable.The instructors were absolutely unreal — extremely knowledgeable, patient and willing to explain everything properly rather than just showing you how to pass the test. They made sure I understood the truck, the procedures and what was expected of me out on the road.What really stood out was how much confidence they gave me. They picked up on the little things I needed to improve and worked with me until I got them right. You can tell they genuinely care about producing safe, competent truck drivers rather than just getting people through a licence test.The trucks were well maintained, the training was spot on, and the whole team was friendly and easy to deal with from start to finish.If you’re looking at getting your truck licence or wanting to improve your driving, Core Driving School is definitely the place to go. Great instructors, great equipment and an all-round unreal experience.Couldn’t be happier with the service. 10/10 — highly recommend!

Completed the HC Road Ranger course today with Core. I was more stressed than I have ever been before with trying to knock them both out at the same time. Huge thanks to Chris for being patient with me throughout the day making sure I know everything I need to pass as well as my assessor Ty for calming me down through the panic of trying to put everything I practice into effect for the recorded assessment and for further pushing me after the assessment to get better. Couldnt recommend this school enough and if i find a need for my MC I will be back again.
